Atelier Profile takes the concept of a traditional portrait bust and deliberately removes part of the expected form. One side reveals a simplified brow, nose, lips, and jawline. The opposite side breaks into an irregular sculptural edge with deep recessed sections. The asymmetry gives the piece substantially different appearances from the front, side, and three-quarter angles.
